Budapest Airport Pier 1

Low-cost flights at Budapest Airport were previously served from a temporary hangar-like tin structure. Our task was to design a new, high-quality passenger concourse to replace this facility. Both the design and construction timelines of the project were tight: the terminal was completed in 339 days. The aim was to create a dignified passenger experience through generous internal height, timber beams, and a contemporary exterior and interior appearance. An other challenge for all actors throughout the project was that the airport remained fully operational during construction.
